Mobile engineer and founder. Native Android and AI features that actually work.
Intro
I’m Osayuki Ehigie, a mobile engineer with six years building and shipping production Android applications in Kotlin. Three of my apps are live on Google Play.
I build products end to end — architecture, implementation, store submission, and release. Most recently I founded Validate, where I architected and shipped our Android app and built the iOS version in Swift and SwiftUI.
I also work extensively with AI tooling as part of how I build: architecting the solution, directing AI to implement under clear constraints, and owning the output. I’m currently developing Subscout, a personal finance app with an AI-driven recommendation engine.
What I Build
AI Feature, Proven — $12,000 to $25,000, 4 to 6 weeks
Android Modernize and Comply — $8,000 to $20,000, 3 to 5 weeks
Relationship platform combining community, verified interactions, and real-world events. Live on Google Play as of July 2026; iOS version in App Store review.
Architected and built the Android application in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
Built the iOS application in Swift and SwiftUI
Designed and implemented the app's core discovery mechanic end to end
Owned store submission and review resolution across both platforms
Implemented subscription monetization via RevenueCat
Lead engineering, product, and go-to-market across a six-person founding team
Parabit Systems — Android Engineer | Sep 2022 – Oct 2023
Enterprise Android development for banking and manufacturing clients. Two applications published to Google Play, both in daily production use.
Equipment Management App — inventory tracking across client sites, including check-out and return logging, damage reporting, and site assignment against a central database
BLE Beacon Reader — phone-based Bluetooth door access replacing physical bank access cards; improved pairing success rate by 30% through targeted debugging
Improved app performance by 40% and reduced user-reported issues by 20%
Contributed to CI/CD improvements within Agile delivery cycles
Freelance Android Developer | Dec 2018 – Jun 2022
Delivered mobile applications for clients in retail, events, and local services. Built chat, search, media, and analytics features using REST APIs and Firebase. Managed full product cycles from requirements gathering through client feedback and testing.
Projects
Subscout — Personal finance app, in development
Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, MVVM with Clean Architecture, Hilt for dependency injection, Plaid for bank connectivity. Built and evaluated its AI recommendation engine, which surfaces which subscriptions to keep and which to cut, using a 26-decision evaluation harness that raised agreement from 53.8% to 73.1% across three prompt iterations.
I hold a B.A. in Biology from the University at Albany, SUNY. My path into software started with a Harvard CS50 project, which turned an existing interest in computers into a career.
Since then I've spent six years in Android development, from freelance client work through enterprise applications at Parabit Systems, and now as a founder building and shipping my own products. Along the way I volunteered at a medical clinic and currently work in hospital behavioral health, which has given me a perspective on high-stakes environments that shapes how I think about the software people rely on.
I'm focused on mobile engineering with an emphasis on AI-integrated products — building the features that make applications genuinely useful rather than just functional.
